Michael Ast, MD, is accepting new patients at his Paramus, New Jersey, practice. Dr. Ast specializes in partial and total knee replacement, rapid recovery and short-stay outpatient joint replacement, and total hip replacement, using computer-assisted and robotic-assisted techniques for both knee and hip procedures. His background includes a subspecialty focus in sports medicine, which informs his evaluation of active patients considering joint replacement. Dr. Ast completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at North Shore-LIJ Health System and his fellowship in adult reconstruction and joint replacement surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, where he holds his hospital affiliation.
